Lessons

We teach riding and horsemanship skills to students who want to learn and take lessons on a consistent and regular basis. Grooming and tacking are included in your one- hour lesson.   We typically teach our lesson program to students beginning 10 years of age through adults, who want to learn about all the responsibilities of horse ownership. Bridleless riding lessons are also offered at a premium rate for the exciting opportunity to try riding free, where students can challenge themselves and experience the thrill of connecting with their horse in a more natural, tack-free way!

Riding lessons are held by appointment indoor and outdoor, rain or shine.

Overcome the fear. Embrace the journey. Many aspiring riders let anxiety hold them back. We believe that with education, nothing is scary any longer. True confidence starts from the ground up by understanding how a horse thinks and moves.

  • Lesson 1: Groundwork & Safety First – Master horse psychology, safe handling boundaries, grooming, and proper tacking before stepping into the stirrup.
  • Lesson 2: Balance & The Cue System – Develop ideal riding posture and a clear, gentle communication system in the saddle. 
  • Lesson 3: Core Arena Control – Practice precision steering, stops and reverses at the walk and trot with total peace of mind.

WHERE REINS END, CONNECTION BEGINS

  • One Hour Bridleless Riding Lesson, Cost Per Rider $125

    Have you ever dreamed of riding without a bridle? Our program makes it possible! We are the first lesson programs in this area and one of the first in the Southeast offering bridleless riding lessons, and we are one of them! Our bridleless lessons is built on the belief that where reins end, true connection begins - creating harmony, trust, and balance between horse and rider. Students must advance through the program, develop a balanced seat, begin communication with seat and legs, and control in your regular lessons. Let your instructor know you are interested in brideless riding, and once the rider demonstrates the required level of skill and understanding, the instructor may invite them to begin bridleless lessons.

    These sessions focus on refining communication through seat and leg aids and mastering the art of riding without a bridle. It's a chance to build amazing trust with your horse and learn how to ride using just your seat and legs. Join one of the few programs in the Southeast that offer this program.

Beginners & Advanced Beginners (Ages 10 through Adults) 

  • 0:00 – 0:20  Groom and tack (includes retrieving horse from pasture)
  • 0:20 – 0:25  Stretch and warm up
  • 0:25 – 0:50  Weekly lesson
  • 0:50 – 0:55  Stretch and cool down
  • 0:55 – 1:00  Untack
Intermediates (Ages 10 through Adult)
  • 0:00 – 0:05   Instructor’s inspection of grooming/tacking (unaided prior to lesson)
  • 0:05 – 0:15   Stretch and warm up
  • 0:15 – 0:50   Weekly lesson
  • 0:50 – 0:55   Stretch and cool down
  • 0:55 – 1:00   Cool down, untack, groom (unaided)
